RMB Money Market, Bond Trading

SPDB HO and some branches have become members of the National Inter-bank Money Market and can do money market businesses, bond trading with securities company legal person and off-the-counter services with non-members.

Conditions

Securities companies that have been approved as the National Inter-bank Money Market Member shall complete the Money Market and bond trading with SPDB through the trading system provided by the National Inter-bank Money Market Center.
Securities companies that are non-Inter-bank Money Market members shall only conduct off-the-counter transactions with SPDB.

Tenor

Maximum tenor for borrowing from securities companies that are Inter-bank Money Market members: 7 days;
Maximum tenor for lending to the counterpart: shall not exceed the maximum tenor allowed by PBOC for the counterpart;
Maximum tenor for bonds repurchase: 1 year.
No extension period for any inter-bank lending/borrowing or bonds repurchase.
Maximum tenor for lending to a securities company that is not a member of the National Inter-bank Money Market: 1 day.

Documents Required

Legal person business license, legal person ID card, legal person certificate.
Financial business license, license for proprietary stock trading, certificate for comprehensive securities companies.
Three years' audited financial reports and previous month's Balance Sheet, Profit/ Loss Statement and Cash Flow Statement.

Application Procedure

The securities company submits the Money Market business application to a local SPDB branch.
SPDB reviews the application and documents submitted.
SPDB confirms the business and sets the maximum Money Market trading amount and tenor.
SPDB and the securities companies execute the transaction. ( Money Market businesses with trust & investment companies shall comply with the relevant regulations and refer to the above stipluations.)
