SPDB Cited as the 261st among Top 1000 World Banks

SPDB was cited as the 261st by the British Bankers magazine among top 1000 world banks, a big advancement from last year’s ranking as the 308th . The league table ranked SPDB the 8th among all Chinese domestic banks, against its peers like China Merchant Bank (ranked the. 214th this year and the 187th last year), CITIC Bank (the 202nd this year and 291st last year, Everbright Bank (the 273rd this year and 217th last year) and so on. The bigger Chinese banks were respectively ranked as following: China Construction Bank the 21st (37th last year); Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, the 25th (16th last year); Bank of China the 29th (15th last year); Agriculture Bank of China the 36th (25th last year) and Bank of Communication, the101st (102nd last year). Citigroup ranked the 1st among the top 1000 banks, HSBC the 3rd, Bank of America the 4th and JP Morgan came out as the 5th.
