| | How to Proceed | | | Target customers are the school students (year 4 and above). Family Registration Booklet and ID card are necessary for account opening and bank's relevant registration.
Tenor and Amount | | | - Tenors of 1 year, 3 year or 6 year
- Minimum of RMB 50, maximum RMB20,000 (including both the principal and the interests)
When the account opens, the customer makes agreement with the bank on the fixed deposits amount every month. If the customer fails to make deposits according to the agreement, he shall make it up the next month. Otherwise, he will be punished by relevant regulation.
Preferential Interest Rate | | | 1 year and 3 year Education Savings are with the same interest rates of the Full Sums Deposits & Full Sums Withdrawals of the same tenor category respectively and 6 year's is with the same interest rate of the 5 year Full Sums Deposits & Full Sums Withdrawals.
Conditions of Withdrawals | | | - The customer can withdraw the principal and interest with the deposit book and the Student Identification for accepting the non-obligatory education provided by the school. The Student Identification allows the customer to have preferential interest rate treatment and be free from interest income tax.
- If no Student Identification is provided, the customer cannot have the preferential interest rate as 1 year and 3 year interest rates are the same with those of the Monthly Small Sums Deposits & Full Sums Withdrawals, and the 6 year's rate is the same with the 5 year Monthly Small Sums Deposits & Full Sums Withdrawals. Besides, the customer shall pay the interest tax accordingly.
